Special Programs

Meditation Circle
Once Monthly, Sunday Evening,  7 - 8 pm

Upcoming date:  FEB 5th

FREE - Beginners welcome!
(No fee will be set for this program.  As is customary in Meditation centers, donations are appreciated.  Your donations benefit Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey, a cancer support community.)

Meditation has become increasingly popular as a means to reduce stress and take a quiet "time out" from our busy lives to be still, look inward, and gain some perspective on our thoughts and feelings.

Please join us for our monthly Meditation Circle.  In the supportive embrace of the group, we will practice various forms of meditation. We plan to meet once a month to "sit" together and learn from each other, in a contemplative community.

Appropriate for beginners as well as experienced meditators.  Come & bring a friend; no prior experience with meditation required.

Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start on time.

Up-coming Workshops in 2012

Unravel Your Stress: A Restorative Yoga Workshop
with Cindy Carver, E-RYT

When:
  Saturday, February 25th
Time:    7 - 9 pm
Cost:    $40

"When you stop agitating it, the body starts to repair itself." - Judith Lasater

In Restorative Yoga, props are used to support your body completely so that you can release deeply into the postures without muscular effort or strain. Restorative Yoga is a delicious way to revive and revitalize your body and mind, as you effortlessly increase flexibility and reduce stress.

Simple yet powerful, Restorative Yoga helps:
- relieve chronic pain
- release deeply held tension
- reduce anxiety
- promote deep, restful sleep
- improve digestion
- reduce belly fat, blood pressure and cholesterol
- reduce stress hormones (cortisol & adrenaline)

The workshop ends with a long, luxurious relaxation (savasana). Release your body and mind into the exquisite support of yoga's Relaxation Pose and satisfy what Judith Lasater calls our "craving for deep rest."
