Happy Feet: An Introduction To Reflexology
with guest teacher Caren Patterson, RYT
Date: Sunday, March 21, 2010
Time: 3 - 6 pm
Cost: $55 ($45 if paid by March 7th)
Location: Stone Center for Yoga & Health
Support your journey of self-care, and learn a delightful practice you can share with clients, family or friends, by exploring the ancient art of Reflexology. Learning how to use skillful pressure to specific points in the feet can help you maintain a healthy balance of all your body’s systems. Relaxing and stress-reducing, reflexology is widely used for preventive care or in response to health challenges. It supports balance, relaxation and well-being, and can even be used to help alleviate headaches, reduce arthritic and back pain, ease premenstrual discomforts, and help with digestive issues.
This workshop will include an overview of reflexology; a “map” of the foot & how it mirrors the body; an introduction to basic techniques; instructions for self-reflexology; sharing techniques; and more.
Appropriate for Yoga & Pilates instructors, Personal Trainers, Bodyworkers, students, and anyone interested in learning this ancient healing practice. No prior experience required.

(No fee will be set for this program. As is customary in Meditation centers, donations are appreciated.)
Meditation has become increasingly popular as a means to reduce stress and take a quiet "time out" from our busy lives to be still, look inward, and gain some perspective on our thoughts and feelings.
Please join us for our first Meditation Circle. In the supportive embrace of the group, we will practice various forms of meditation. We plan to meet once a month to "sit" together and learn from each other, in a contemplative community. Appropriate for beginners as well as experienced meditators.
Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start on time.
