Frequently Asked Questions:
- There is NO pre-registration required to attend a regularly scheduled class. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start of class
to settle in.
- Classes at the studio are on-going with the exception of special presentations, workshops, and series; start anytime.
- Drop-ins to the studio are ALWAYS welcome.
- Please let your teacher know of any injury or health condition, so that we can adapt the class to meet your needs and keep you safe.
- Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach, so be sure to allow 1.5-2 hours after a meal prior to taking a class. A very light snack is fine prior to class.
- Dress in comfortable clothing you can move in. Sometimes it is best to dress in layers to adjust to a comfortable body temperature.
- We have lots of props at the studio. If you have your own personal mat, please bring it; if you forget it, or don’t have one, you can use the mats inside the studio. You may wish to bring a towel to place on the studio mats.
- Feel free to call or email us to inquire about a class, workshop or other programs at the studio - we are happy to answer your questions.
NOTE: Typically staff is ONLY at the studio 15 minutes prior to and after a class and of course while a class is being taught. The door is locked if no one is in the studio or a private session is taking place.
- We offer a range of class packages, unlimited options, and gift certificates for class cards. Please call the studio to let us know what type of gift you would like to purchase, and we will create a custom package for you. Soon you will also be able to reserve a space in a class, pay for class packages, and choose from our gift options on our site at MindBody (www.mindbody.com - search for Stone Center for Yoga & Health).
- Class cancellations due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances will NOT be posted on the website. In inclement weather, or if you aren’t sure if a class is taking place (e.g., holiday weekends), please call the studio answering service 45 minutes prior to the class you plan on attending.
- You do not have to have any prior experience to attend the Meditation Circle. We typically offer meditation in the "insight" (Vipassana) meditation, though some facilitators may also offer
guided imagery/visualization or other meditation techniques.
All meditations are non-denominational and respectful of all backgrounds and beliefs.
