Why Yoga?
Yoga's popularity continues to rise as people seek out its benefits for body, mind and spirit. Hospitals, fitness centers, corporations and schools all offer yoga. The Stone Center's Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour Teacher Training course will provide you with the skills to meet the growing need for well-trained yoga professionals, while giving you the tools to enhance your own well-being and self-discovery.
Why Structural Yoga™?
Structural Yoga™ allows teachers to adapt yoga to individual needs and provide teachings that translate off the mat into daily life. Structural Yoga™ instructors are trained to teach people with a broad spectrum of needs, from those able to participate in traditional yoga classes, to those with movement restrictions, injuries, or health challenges, who require modifications and a very compassionate, healing approach.
Why The Stone Center?
The mission of the SCYH is to bring highly informed yoga, yoga therapy, stress reduction, and holistic health programming to people of all ages and needs, and to provide professional trainings for those wishing to share these healing practices with others. By learning to integrate the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda with contemporary teachings in anatomy, physiology, and stress management, participants gain the skills they need to give yoga classes and private sessions in a range of settings. The Director, Charlotte Chandler Stone (Hamsa), personally supervises each participant, providing ample opportunities for personal coaching and sharing from her extensive experience in class and private practice.
The Teacher Training Program
The SCYH 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program is a unique opportunity to learn professional yoga instruction, while deepening your own yoga and meditation practice. The best teaching comes out of our own innermost journey. Your experiences and insights will become the cornerstone of your teaching ... and the techniques you learn will give you the skills to teach yoga classes and private sessions with competence and compassion.

- supervised student-teaching and practicum (teaching 4 classes and 2 private sessions is required for certification)
